Penetrating sealer for grout, tile and masonry

Applications

Suitable for all types of tile and masonry surfaces, including grout lines (damp/wet or dry), natural stone, sandstone, terracotta, stucco, concrete, brick, Saltillo tiles, porcelain stoneware, marble and granite. Seal-Guard^® Gold Label Impregnator is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Directions for use

Use as is. Try the product in an inconspicuous spot first to determine its suitability for the intended use. The surface must be clean and dry and free of wax, protective and finishing coats and grout haze. Cover paint or varnish next to the surface to be treated. Apply in a thin, even layer with a pressure sprayer, airless sprayer, brush, cloth, mop or roller.

One layer will usually be sufficient. However, on more porous surfaces, such as terracotta and sandstone, and on heavily trafficked surfaces, a second coat is recommended to ensure optimal protection. Wait at least twenty minutes before applying the second coat. Treated surfaces will take approximately 2.5 hours to dry and cure, but for optimal results they should be kept clean and dry for at least 24 hours.

Note

For highly polished surfaces, such as porcelain, marble or granite, a second coat is recommended. Buff small areas before the second coat is dry. Allow larger surfaces to dry and cure for 24 hours. If necessary, residue can be easily removed with a damp cloth.

Pre-grout sealer/Grout release

Ideal for use as a grout release prior to grouting, to prevent grout stains and make it easier to remove residue and grout haze.

Maintenance

Clean treated surfaces with water and a mild detergent. Aggressive cleaning agents such as scouring powders, ammonia, acids or bleach are unnecessary.

Life expectancy

If treated surfaces are cared for properly, Seal-Guard^® will remain effective for many years. However, heavily trafficked surfaces should be checked annually and, if necessary, recoated.

Coverage

1 litre will cover approximately 40 m², depending on the material to be treated and the application method used.

Packaging

Available in 1-litre and 5-litre containers (12 x 1 litre per box) (4 x 5 litres per box).

Note

Do not use a sprayer with rubber parts that can come into contact with the impregnator.
